Screen Delay:
Because of screen delay you will always look ahead of everyone else on your screen, that is totally normal. Make sure to go on go to ensure you get perfect timing with other riders.
Transitioning:
When doing transition curls, you transition into the next gait/direction at a diagonal to your original line.
Helpful Tips:
〉A’s always go left, B’s always go right!
〉Extending your camera POV, it’ll help you either teach better by being able to see all riders, or when riding, you can see where you’re going better!
〉Outside & Inside directions; Usually instructors will instead listing a direction for two separate lines to go, they’d list to do the move towards the inside or the outside. Meaning you’d do the move either towards (going to the inside) of the line beside you, or away (going outwards) from the line.
Spacings:
〉NTT ▸ Nose to tail spacings. Your horse's nose will be touching the person in the front tail bow.
〉NTS ▸ Nose to saddle spacings. Your horse's nose will be in the back of the person in the front saddle.
〉HI ▸ Halfway inside. The front of your saddle will touch the back of the person in front of the saddle.
〉One horse spacings ▸ Put an imaginary horse in front of you and stand NTS with it.
〉OT â–¸ Overlap-tail, your horse’s head will be overlapping the tail of the riders horse that is in front of you.
Alignments:
〉Comb alignments ▸ You will be one horse ahead of everyone else. The leader should be NTT with your horse.
〉Tier alignments ▸ You will be one horse ahead of your partner. Your partner should be NTT with your horse, from their view.
〉Waterfall alignments ▸ The person across from you, your partner, you must be in NTS across from them. Your horse's nose should be in-line with their saddle.
〉Slant alignments ▸ You should look NTT flat with the person next to you.
〉Cross over ▸ When crossing between gaps in another line, you should aim to pass through your partner's tail (Pass through the rider while in canter).
Arena:
The arena's all have a centre line and a crossline. The centre line is slightly to the side of A & C and the crossline is directly from E to B. To help discover these lines please contact an instructor or look up Arena Lines videos. You must have your graphics up to see.
